Series I: Setup & Maintenance

Wrist Pinnacle Precision Instruments

Initial Setup

Unboxing Protocol

Remove all protective film from the case, crystal, and bracelet. Inspect the timepiece for any shipping damage. Your package includes the Series I watch, an Industrial Travel Pouch, and a precision adjustment tool.

First Wind

The NH35 automatic movement requires manual winding to initiate operation. With the crown in its normal position (fully pushed in), rotate it clockwise 40 to 50 times. You will feel slight resistance as the mainspring reaches full tension. The watch should begin running immediately. The movement stores approximately 41 hours of power reserve when fully wound.

Setting Time and Date

⚠ CRITICAL: Never adjust the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. The date-change mechanism engages during this window, and manual adjustment can damage internal components.

Pull the crown out to the second position (fully extended). The seconds hand will stop—this is the hacking function, which allows precise time setting. Rotate the crown to advance the time past midnight repeatedly until the correct date appears in the window. Once the date is correct, set the precise time. Push the crown back to its normal position.

If you need to adjust only the date, pull the crown to the first position (one click out) and rotate clockwise. The date will advance with each full rotation.

Daily Operation

Automatic Winding

The rotor inside the movement winds the mainspring as you move your wrist. Normal daily activity provides sufficient motion. Wearing the watch for at least eight hours per day eliminates the need for manual winding. Vigorous shaking is unnecessary and provides no benefit.

Manual Winding Supplement

If the watch stops due to insufficient wear, manually wind it 20 to 30 rotations to restart. Before extended storage, wind the watch fully (40 to 50 rotations) to prevent lubricant from settling. Always rotate the crown clockwise. Stop when you feel resistance—forcing the crown past this point can damage the winding mechanism.

Power Reserve Management

A fully wound NH35 movement provides 41 hours of operation. If you remove the watch for more than 41 hours, it will stop and require manual winding to restart. Consistent daily wear maintains continuous operation without manual intervention.

Bracelet Adjustment

Fit Guidelines

The bracelet should slide one to two centimeters up and down your wrist when relaxed. It will feel tighter during physical activity as blood flow increases. The fit should not pinch skin or allow excessive movement that could damage the case through repeated impact.

Link Removal Process

Examine the underside of the bracelet. Small arrows indicate the direction to push each pin. Use the precision adjustment tool to push the pin out from the arrow side. Remove an equal number of links from both sides of the clasp to maintain balance. Reinsert the pins and ensure they sit flush with the bracelet surface. Test the connection by pulling firmly on both sides of each link before wearing the watch.

Care and Maintenance

Water Resistance

The Series I is rated to 5 ATM (50 meters). This rating indicates splash resistance only. The watch can withstand handwashing and light rain. Do not wear it while swimming, showering, or exposing it to hot water or steam. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in (normal position) whenever the watch is near water.

Cleaning

Wipe the case and bracelet daily with a dry microfiber cloth. For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth and dry the watch immediately. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or ultrasonic cleaning devices.

Storage

Store the watch in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Avoid placing it near magnetic fields generated by speakers, smartphones, laptops, or magnetic clasps. The Industrial Travel Pouch provides protection during transport. Before storing the watch for more than a week, wind it fully to prevent lubricant from settling in the movement.

Impact Protection

The NH35 movement includes shock-resistant components, but it is not shockproof. Avoid dropping the watch or striking it against hard surfaces. Remove it during high-impact activities such as contact sports or heavy manual labor.

Troubleshooting

Watch Has Stopped

Cause: Power reserve depleted

Solution: Manually wind 40-50 rotations clockwise. Wear daily to maintain automatic winding.

Date Changes at Noon Instead of Midnight

Cause: AM/PM reversed

Solution: Pull crown to second position, advance time by 12 hours.

Date Will Not Advance

Cause: Time set during date-change window (9PM-3AM) or AM/PM incorrect

Solution: Pull crown to second position, advance time past 3:00 AM, then manually advance date.

Crown Feels Stuck or Difficult to Turn

Cause: Mainspring fully wound

Solution: This is normal. Do not force. Crown will turn freely when partially unwound.

Watch Runs Fast or Slow

Tolerance: -20 to +40 seconds per day is within specification

Solution: If consistently outside tolerance, contact support for regulation service.

Condensation Under Crystal

Cause: Water ingress

Solution: Stop wearing immediately. Contact support. Continued operation will cause permanent damage.
